The FLIR E6-XT Thermal Imaging Camera with Wi-Fi (9Hz) is optimised for predictive maintenance and troubleshooting applications. It can also serve as an alternative to IR thermometers. This tool is of particular use to electricians, construction engineers and maintenance technicians requiring a method by which to identify faulty components or signs of failure before significant damage is sustained.
The FLIR E6-XT Thermal Imaging Camera with Wi-Fi (9Hz) is an upgraded version of the FLIR E6 Thermal Imaging Camera with Wi-Fi (9Hz). As a result, it includes a wider temperature range -20°C to +550°C and a greater IR resolution, 240 x 180-pixels.
However; this instrument also retains useful thermal imaging features present on its predecessor. For instance, it remains fully automated and focus-free; it also includes an adjustable emissivity (0.1-1.0) accompanied by a table of predefined materials, allowing the user to adjust the FLIR E6-XT Thermal Imaging Camera to suit the application.
Moreover, the FLIR E6-XT Thermal Imaging Camera also includes black and white, iron, and rainbow thermal palettes, as well as the following imaging modes inherited from the FLIR E6 Thermal Imaging Camera
- Thermal Blending
- Thermal
- Digital Camera: this mode switches to the FLIR E6-XT’s 640 x 480-pixel digital camera allowing the user to view visible-light images
- MSX®: images captured using the digital camera are overlaid onto the IR picture to enhance the image detail
- Picture-in-Picture: view points-of-interest in greater detail without losing the overall field-of-view (45° x 34°)
Images are recorded in JPEG formats with embedded temperature data; this ensures that they are easy to share with relevant persons.
Wi-Fi Connectivity
Like the FLIR E6 Thermal Imaging Camera, the FLIR E6-XT Thermal Imaging Camera is able to transfer IR images to a compatible smartphone or tablet, with the FLIR Tools App installed, via Wi-Fi. It is also possible to download thermal images to a PC via a USB interface.
Using the FLIR Tools App, the operator can analyse and edit infrared images, as well as create professional reports that may be emailed to colleagues or clients from his/her smartphone or tablet. This allows critical, collaborative decisions to be made without the thermographer having to leave the worksite.
Ergonomic Design
The FLIR E6-XT Thermal Imaging Camera’s intuitive user-interface and simple keypad ensure that the user is able to access all the camera’s features, functions and settings quickly and easily.
All images, features, functions and settings are viewable via the FLIR E6-XT Thermal Imaging Camera’s 320 x 240-pixel, colour, LCD display.
Finally, the FLIR E6-XT Thermal Imaging Camera is intended for prolonged usage in rugged environments and, as such, features a lightweight, resilient, pistol-shaped design that has been drop tested from 2m.
The FLIR E6-XT Thermal Imaging Camera with Wi-Fi (9Hz) is an ergonomic, economic and effective tool suitable for inspecting buildings and electrical and mechanical systems.
